Around 1% of Twilight Masquerade booster packs contain a Special Illustration Rare in the second Reverse Holo slot. Your odds of pulling Special Illustration Rare Greninja ex in any given pack of Twilight Masquerade are a small fraction of a percent (0.11%).
Each pack guarantees at least one rare card, denoted by a black star symbol. In the new Scarlet & Violet expansion, players are ensured at least a holo rare card, which wasn't the case in the Sword & Shield era and earlier expansions.
Why is a Gen VI Pokémon with no competitive hype behind it sitting at the top of a list of valuable Pokémon cards? That's ninjas for you. With masterful speed, Greninja ex 214 has taken down all its competition to become the most valuable Pokémon card in Twilight Masquerade.
For comparison, your odds of pulling Greninja ex (TWM-214), the Twilight Masquerade chase card that recently flirted with a $300 Market Price, are 0.11% ± 0.07%, or 1 in 941 packs.
Ultra Rares are in 1 out of 15 packs. The pull rate of regular Illustration Rares is 1 out of 13 packs. ACE SPEC cards have a pull rate of 1 out of 20 packs, the same as when they were introduced in Temporal Forces.
For the collectors, Twilight Masquerade feels a lot like a sequel to March's Temporal Forces expansion. It has the same breakdown of chase card variety, including Illustration and Special Illustration Rares, a smattering of Shiny Pokemon, and a new batch of ACE SPEC items.
This Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Silver Tempest Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box can be found only at Pokémon Center and comes with exclusive accessories—an extra set of card sleeves and a metallic coin—plus 10 booster packs (two more than in a standard Elite Trainer Box).
It's a comprehensive package perfect for both new and experienced players. The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet 151 Collection Elite Trainer Box (ETB) usually includes booster packs, promo cards, energy cards, dice, sleeves, and a rulebook. Whether it's worth the price depends on your goals.
Expect to find roughly one Starlight Rare for every two cases of booster boxes you open. With five Starlight Rares per set, you might need to crack ten cases of a set just to get the Starlight Rare you're looking for!
You're more likely to open alt-art Lugia V than you are to open the 452005. Odds of opening an alt-art Pokémon V card: 1 in 168. Odds of opening a specific alt-art Pokémon V card: 1 in 674.
