What is Sarasota level A? ›

Level A residents will be evacuated first. If your property lies within two different levels, you should evacuate with the lowest level. All residents and visitors in mobile homes, manufactured homes, RVs or travel trailers must evacuate when hurricane evacuation Level A is issued, regardless of where you're located.

Zone A – Areas subject to inundation by the 1-percent annual chance floodplain.

Zone A is at greatest risk for storm surge for Category 1 and higher storms. Zone B is at risk for storm surge for Category 2 and higher storms. Zone C is at risk for storm surge for Category 3 and higher storms. Zone D is at risk for storm surge for Category 4 and higher storms.
